Day 1 (September, 19th) – 9:00am – 3:30pm
Topics: This class is for current nurses in the program and will focus on changes in nursing services for HCS and TXHmL. This session will review RN Nursing Assessments (RN Comprehensive Nursing Assessments), Nursing Service Plans (including samples), the Role of the Client’s Responsible Adult, and the Unlicensed Assistive Person (staff), RN Delegations, SB1857 (Human Resource Code Ch. 161) , and FC Exemptions. Discussion of New Nurse Screening Tool- For Persons Refusing Nursing Services in HCS and TXHmL. Discussion of Current Survey Expectations (Including Discussion of Participation of RN in Development of Nursing section of the IP). Recent Nursing Citations Reported By HCS/TXHmL Providers. *All attendees will receive a manual with handouts, recommended forms, and resources.
