UPDATE: TMHP EDI Connectivity Change Rescheduled for Sept. 1, 2026

The TMHP Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Connectivity change scheduled for Aug. 1, 2026, has been moved to Sept. 1, 2026.

Note: This change gives batch submitters more time to prepare for the transition from the virtual private network connectivity method to the new Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) method. Providers that fail to complete trading partner testing for their submitter identifications may experience delays in claims reimbursement after SFTP implementation.

Providers report they have been having an issue with trying to log in repeatedly; if they are idle for a short period of time on the application they are using.  HHSC stated it was aware of this issue, but also stated that it’s their experience that if one logs into a certain application under TMHP, then switches to a different application, the system will time out, requiring the provider to login again. HHSC said this typically happens only if the provider is idle for 15 minutes. Providers in the IDD Workgroup have stated that their experience is that the time period is shorter (anywhere between 3 to 5 minutes).  HHSC stated it would look into this.
HHSC reminded providers that they will have to reset their accounts every 90 days for each app under TMHP.  Providers expressed concern and have asked if this could be changed or if HHSC could send providers reminders. HHSC has stated that it already sends reminder notices to providers, but also suggested that providers set calendar reminders.
FYI-HHSC is not in a position yet to merge the IAMOnline platforms for STEPS and TMHP.
Providers have also expressed difficulty in reaching the EDI Help Desk, HHSC apologized, but the volume of calls being received right now (calls have tripled) is causing the problem.  HHSC has recommended that if one cannot reach the EDI Help Desk, they can call into the TMHP IMAOnline Bridge Support sessions.

The bridge sessions will only continue through this Thursday-07/16/26.
Note:  When joining the Bridge Support session, remember that it’s first come, first served.
