HHSC Long-Term Care Regulation (LTCR) has published a new Provider Letter 2026-09 (PDF) highlighting an HCS rule pertaining to smoke alarm requirements.
Specific information on acceptable and unacceptable smoke alarm placement within the HCS home was added. This includes both group homes and host homes.
