From Twogether Consulting!

Hello Everyone!

The year is flying by, and the 4th of July is already nearly here.  I hope there are plenty of fun activities planned for this Friday and the weekend!

Don’t forget that hurricane preparedness sessions are still available from HHSC. They have several sessions to assist HCS/TxHmL/ISS/ICF providers.  We do have a few live webinars for July 2025- “Completing ICAPs & IDRCs and Understanding LONs” as well as “Requesting Adaptive Aids, Minor Home Modifications, & Dental Services in The HCS Program”

Twogether Consulting, along with Nursing Innovations, will be hosting a 3-day live training HCS training session in San Antonio, Tx, towards the end of August.. The session will be 3 days, and providers will be able to choose which days they want to attend or pay for all days for a discounted rate.    We will have more details posted on the website in the near future.  Twogether Consulting will keep you posted, or you can check out our home page on the website for current calendar events.  We are still available for facility and 1 on 1 requests for webinars and live training in July.  Remember that you can view all calendar postings on our Twogether Consulting website.

Twogether Consulting is pleased to have hosted Rachel Hopkins, Program Director of Healthcare Services at Molina HealthCare of Texas as our guest presenter today for our “Free IDD Provider & Family Resource Webinar” on June 30th, 2025, from noon to 1 pm. Rachel is also a certified Person- Centered Thinking Trainer. Rachael did a great job of explaining STAR+PLUS services and how the MCOs work with providers and LIDDAs as well as some of the value-added benefits specifically provided by Molina Healthcare of Texas. This session provided other information as well about STAR+PLUS Medicaid program, including its healthcare benefits, service coordination teams, and collaboration with IDD Providers and LIDDAs. We had a good amount of questions, and I appreciate the time she spent with our attendees after the presentation. We have posted a link to the recorded session on our gotostage channel as well as Twogether’s FB page and my Linkedin page.  Please feel free to share.

We are happy to say that we will continue to provide whatever assistance we can with questions you may have, especially concerning HCS/TxHmL Care Coordination, Nursing, or general survey requirements from LTCR department in these programs.  We continue to assist those working with the ICF/IID program as well. We are currently providing both on-site in-person training at this time as well as in-person live training that is open to all providers.
FYI-We do still provide “mentoring” assistance for program managers, case managers, and especially for nurses.  We continue to provide nursing trainings and we can refer you out to our partner RN consultants, Nursing Innovations, who provide IDD nursing consultation, mentoring, and/or training for HCS, TxHmL, and ICF.  If you have new staff or nurses who need training quicker than classes posted on the calendar, please let me know and we do offer some of our previously recorded sessions for a low cost, which includes the handouts.   We are happy to schedule one-on-one training sessions and mentoring with one of our consultants.  We can also refer you to another resource, if more appropriate.  Twogether Consulting also continues to provide assistance with applying to become an HCS/TxHmL waiver provider, and we can assist with applying to become an AMH-HCBS or YES Waiver provider.
