Legislative Appropriations Request!

Texas HHSC submitted its Legislative Appropriations Request (LAR) for fiscal years 2028-29 to the Office of the Governor’s Budget and Policy Division and the Legislative Budget Board.

The Legislative Appropriations Request details HHSC funding priorities for the 90th Legislature, which convenes in January 2027. 

The request also identifies exceptional item needs for state leadership and legislative consideration and reflects a required 3% reduction to the base budget.
