This session will review over the current survey process, including the new changes in “exit” procedures during an HHSC survey. The webinar will discuss the differences between critical and non-critical violations as well as what constitutes an IT (Immediate Threat) and how that can affect the survey. We will review the IDR process for appealing violations and discuss what is expected in the POC (Plan of Correction) by the provider. This session will also go over some of the areas that survey may concentrate on and ideas to prevent specific violations that are quite common in the HCS program. We will provide examples as well as some helpful tools for prevention of violations. We most likely will not be reviewing the amelioration process other than an introduction.
