Description:
This class is designed for new and current RNs, new providers, and staff responsible for coordinating or ensuring timely medical and health services in the HCS/TxHmL program (including RN’s, LVNs, Program Managers, Quality Assurance Staff, and Case Managers/Care Coordinators). It covers essential admission activities that should be performed by the RN, required documentation, and follow-up procedures for individuals entering the program.
Topics include: nursing-specific concerns, client-specific needs, monitoring and documenting services, and ensuring access to both waiver and non-waiver services. This training is suitable for all team members involved in health service planning and implementation, but is directed primarily towards the RN.
Certificates of completion are provided; however, CNE credit is not available. Please contact us if you would like your staff to attend..

-Other Documentation & Necessary Activities At Admission (Schedule upcoming, follow-up or initial Appts., Progress Notes/Service Delivery Logs, F/F Focused Nursing Assessment, and more)
-Post Admission (Staff & Client Training, RN Delegation, Nursing Implementation Plans, Comp Nursing Assessment with Nursing Service Plan, Other Important Assessments, Keeping up with Medicaid Eligibility, Monitoring Meds. & Health Status, Documenting Progress or Lack of Progress, Updating Services & Objectives in the Nursing IP and Nursing Service Plan, and more.)
** Note: We will only touch on these post-admission activities; we will not be providing full RN Delegation, CNA with NSP or NU IP training. You may register for those courses separately.
