CAMP  Launched for Waiver Providers
Contract Application and Management for Providers (CAMP) Site Launch
Texas HHSC has launched the Contract Application and Management for Providers (CAMP) site for contract applications and management for Texas Medicaid Waiver, Hospice and Consumer Directed Services providers. The site is designed to be a self-service option to complete contracting tasks in a singular and secure location.
There was a “soft” launch for some time now and many of the new applicants for HCS contracts had access to CAMP already for submitting applications for their initial contracts. There were some initial “bugs” that have appear to have been worked out over time.  I am happy to report that Twogether Consulting has had good experiences with their new applicants using CAMP so far. Contract approval has been moving much faster and technical support for suspension corrections has been great, with much less confusion.  We have also helped some providers with their renewals of their contracts in CAMP and that has also gone well and much less issues than previous renewals.  It also prevents loss of information submitted and keeps everyone involved in the process accountable.
The CAMP site offers account registration, application management, contract renewals and amendments, updating existing contract information, tracking application status, changes of ownership (CHOWs), and allows access to authorized representatives and authorized users.  I believe you can have up to 10 authorized reps. and users combined in CAMP.
Step-by-step guides on specific account and contract management topics are available to ensure a successful CAMP system experience. Contracting resources and training information links are accessible within the guides and provider resource information sheet.

  • Live Assistance: HHSC employs dedicated CAMP Specialists to assist providers with onboarding. They offer real-time assistance via email and Microsoft Teams, accessible through the CAMP Portal Help Section.

NOTE: At this time ICF/IID providers cannot access the CAMP portal.  HHSC is waiting on funding to expand its use for ICFs/IID.
