-Scope of practice (RN vs. LVN)

-Responsibilities of the nurse for the HCS & TXHmL programs.

-Discussion of Survey & BON Expectations and Policies & Procedures you need to have in place now 

-Med Errors

-Delays In Service

-Documentation-When and What Does The Nurse Document For What Types of Situation

-Review of Billable Nursing Services 

-sample Nursing Notes

-When is the Nurse Screening Tool Utilized By The Provider in both HCS and TXHmL?

-Review of the Suggested CNA forms (Nursing Tool Box) from HHSC

-Review of the RN Nursing Assessment (Comprehensive Nursing Assessment/CNA) Nursing Care Plan (within the CNA) and Nursing IP with Justification for Nursing Services

-The Role of the Client’s Responsible Adult (CRA), and the Unlicensed Person (UP/staff),

-Host Home Provider and their role as CRA (some are not the CRA) and what are their basic obligations are as the CRA.  If they are not the CRA. how does their responsibility differ to the nurse?

-RN Delegations, Human Resource Code Ch. 161/SB1857, and HH Exemptions.

-You will also receive a variety of Sample Forms you may need to utilize for Nursing/Medical in your program

**Whether you are a brand new nurse, a seasoned HCS nurse, a Program Manager, etc… there is something for everyone who attends!

*All attendees will receive a manual with handouts, recommended forms, and resources. For: Nurses, Medical Appt. Scheduler’s, Program Administrators, Program Managers, QA, & other Medical Staff Applicable Programs: HCS & TXHmL
