So you want to become a Host Home/Companion Care provider for the Home & Community Based Services Program, but you don’t really understand what is expected of you.

Here are the topics we will discuss today:

-Who is eligible to provide HH/CC services?

-What is the purpose of HH/CC services?

-What really is your job description?

-What are you liable for as an HH/CC provider?

-What is your interaction with the nurse and why do you even have to interact with a nurse at all?

-What does the nurse expect of you as an HH/CC provider, if your individual does have nursing services?

-What type of paperwork will you be expected to turn in and why?

-Who gets your paperwork and who has the right to look at your documents turned in?

-Where do I document?

-What is appropriate documentation and what kind of activities are billable under HH/CC services?
